What is it?

Quantum Yoga is a method that enables practitioners to ultimately spontaneously design flowing dynamic yoga sequences that are ideally suited to their personal body-mind constitution and individual requirements.

The 3 Pillars

GROUPING & SEQUENCING

Advocates Vinyasa: breath-synchronised movement practice, as it accesses the 3 essential aspects of the human condition: body, breath, mind. Naturally, there are times when a more static restorative, menstrual or pregnancy practice is more appropriate.
A vinyasa sequence needs to be physiologically safe & sound, and energetically balanced and powerful.

Outline/framework will stimulate, not restrict creativity.

Linking Laws. How to combine postures in a harmonious flow. Recognising how one asana can inform the next, which also serves to highlight subtle differences in postures, which would otherwise be ignored.

AYURVEDA & DOSHAS

Veda means ‘knowledge’. Ayur means ‘life’. Ayurveda’s approach is initially preventative rather than curative. It shows a person how to live in harmony with one’s own nature, as well as the natural cycles of the day, the seasons and life. As the science of Avurveda and Yoga sprang from the same fountain, they compliment each other. They are based on the same worldview, except that one focuses on life, the other on transcendence.

QUANTUM PHYSICS

Quantum physics has made incredible discoveries that echo the ancient insights of yoga. The cross-pollination that has occurred in the fields of science and metaphysics in the past years serves the individual with inspiration and empowerment. Quantum physics has proven that energy and matter are not so easily divisible, that in fact energy is more substantial than matter itself. In yoga practice we actually experience this insight first-hand. The body is not merely flesh and bone; it is imbued with prana, life-force. All mental fluctuations have a direct effect on this pranic flow, which in turn manifests as physical sensations and disease. We can revert this process by addressing body, breath and mind in a holistic manner.

Why Quantum Yoga?

A listening practice.

Intention versus Attention.
